Control system description
The PowerCommand® control system is a microprocessor-based genset monitoring, metering, and control system designed to meet the demands of today’s engine-driven gensets. Integrating all control functions into a single control system provides enhanced reliability and performance, compared to conventional genset control systems. These control systems have been designed and tested to meet the harsh environment in which gensets are typically applied.

- Digital Power Transfer Control (AMF) provides load transfer operation in open transition, closed transition, or soft (ramping) transfer modes.
- Extended Paralleling (Peak Shave/Base Load) regulates the genset real and reactive power output while paralleled to the utility. Power can be regulated at either the genset or utility bus monitoring point.
- Digital frequency synchronization and voltage matching.

- Exerciser clock and time of day start/stop initiate a test with or without load or a Base Load or Peak Shave session.
